In refly I beg to inform Your Grace that the Government

of India was indebted to this Government on the 3125 December

the

last in

sum of $18210 for

advances made on account of unclaimed family remittances of the Gun Lascar Comfang, and ; that under deduction of $394

the equivalent of Rupees 88. 14.5, the sum at present to credit of this Colony is $143. I have directed a notice to that effect to be sent to the Secretary of the Government of

India.
